Green Monster Strikes! Day 2 #100HappyDays

Happiness is...

Finally being able to figure out why you (and so many other Indians) hate the Airtel girl so much!

Every time she comes on TV, with that smug look on her face, my blood boils. My BP shoots up. I'm taken over by this violent rage... to destroy.

And I've never been able to understand why I react like this.

Until today.

Today, I finally figured out what this emotion is.

It's the green monster of jealousy!

No... not because of her cute looks!

Not even because she is the face (most likely a very expensive one!) of such a huge brand!

It's a simple case of "uski saari meri saari se safed kaise"!

Why is her net faster than mine?

P.S. - Why does she always have to look so irritatingly smug about it? Jale Pe Namak Chhidakna!

Attempting #100HappyDays for the first time. Today was Day 2.

Ha ha, I never really thought about it that way ;) I just find her smug and irritating. But I think that's her USP. See? She's got brand recall value :D

Ha ha ha! I came over from your Instagram feed to check out who could possibly raise your heckles. But she's cute. I'd date her. Till her 4G pack runs out ;)

ha ha ha, chicky I thought there was some psychological explanation here, yes what you said might be just right- JALAN

Me Otherwise said...

It reminds me the erstwhile surf ad with lalita ji where her sarees where whiter than the rest. It became a revolution of sorts and an aspiration for many to became like her... uski Saadi mere Saadi types

Parul said...

Ha ha! That was funny. :P What if she is just acting about her net? And it is as slow as ours :P

Rachna said...

Okay that was quite funny, Chicky. I find her so irritating. But yes, she is doing so well for herself.

Chicky Kadambari said...

Totally, Shailaja! She is brilliant at the role she plays! Just look at the strong emotional response she evokes!

Chicky Kadambari said...

Hahaha! OB, you are bad! :D

Chicky Kadambari said...

@Menaka: He he he! :P

Chicky Kadambari said...

@MeOtherwise: That's the ad I'm referring to in the post.

Chicky Kadambari said...

Oh she's definitely lying about it, Parul! I ported into Airtel few months ago, and I don't even get a steady signal to talk, forget about internet! And I live in the outskirts of a State Capital, while she boasts of getting perfect internet even in jungles!

Chicky Kadambari said...

Rachna, the fact that she's doing so well for herself, just by lying to us about her internet, makes her even more irritating!

tulika singh said...

Ha ha.. that's true of course. Though I hate her more for the irritating frequency of that ad.

Just dropping over from the Blogging Buds group to say hello. =) Nice to "meet" you.

Chicky Kadambari said...

And she looks as irritating each time, Tulika!

Hi Valerie! Thanks for dropping by! :)
