'Feel Good' List

Day 7 of "2013 Ultimate Blog Challenge" : 'Feel Good' List

In the end, it's all about feelings, isn't it? There are things that make you feel good, and then there are things that make you feel not so good. Here are five things that make the top of my 'feel good' list...

  1. Long showers.
  2. Surprise gifts (preferably books, perfumes, and food).
  3. Tight hugs.
  4. A loved one's affectionate hand on my head.
  5. The feel of my pillow against my face, after a tiring day.

So what makes YOU feel good? Care to share in the comments below?

This is my seventh post for 2013 Ultimate Blog Challenge.

An unexpected call from a loved one. A nice book. A pleasant surprise....

A few days ago, my fiance and I made such a list and compared it to each other's. :) Here's the result:

What makes me feel good? Exercise, cuddles, the beach, the bush, nature, my cats giving me love and affection, good food, dark chocolate, wine {or any alcohol for that matter!}, friends...

@Shilpa - Oh yes, books are always 'feel good' material! Can't say the same about phone calls now though :( Loved ones tend to get so 'concerned' when you're 35 and still single! They just can't talk about anything else! :( Sighhhh

Kaneenika - your post gave me another post's idea. Thank you! You're a life-saver! :D :D :D

Haaah! PB, I knew exercise would be on top of your list! You're addicted to exercising, aren't you? :P

You know 4th is very important for me too!

1. The friend's clock is broken :)
2. I'll make one for you next time.
3. Not obvious given what no. 1 is, no?
4. Yes. I like grocery shopping. I like the smells of shelves stacked with detergent and supermarket floor cleaner. I like pottering about the aisles lined with such forbidden delights as butter cookies and fig filled breakfast bars and chocolate sssyrup and I could go on but I wont because I am staring at dinner in a moment. I like shuffling about with my wheelie trolley while my mum wanders about enchanted by jars and plastic containers. She even gifts containers. She counter argues that I call everything, including photo frames, tee shirts and pillow cases - containers. I am indifferent to the spices and condiments racks but I delight in the stationery section. I am confused by facewash and usually come home with Cinthol soap instead. I know half the staff at the nearby supermarket by their first name. I dream about short queues at the checkout counter and walk out feeling better than a visit to a pub can. I come home and upend my shopping bag on the bed to admire the items in their newly purchased magnificence. I realize I probably sound completely gay right now but I don't care.

@Smita - Yeah, I guess a part of us never really grows up, does it?

@OB - Tumhara comment meri post se lamba kaise? :P
Btw, I had a good laugh at "I call everything, including photo frames, tee shirts and pillow cases - containers."

Mere paas apna blog nei hai na, isliye. Bhagwaan ne mujhe ek blog tak nei diya. Aur yahan dekhiye, 800 posts ho gaye. Some people have everything. *sigh*

Chicky a.k.a. Kaddu said...

Thanks Gayu! Looking forward to your 'feel good' list! :D

Chicky a.k.a. Kaddu said...

Nonsense, OB! You just like leaving post-length comments on my blog because it's designed better! And because it's like a museum to you... with almost 7 years of archives! Btw, I haven't yet completed 800 posts... I'm still 25 posts short of the 8th century.

Abhiroop Banerjee said...

My goodness.

Chicky a.k.a. Kaddu said...

OB, now what was this "My goodness." for? :D

Abhiroop Banerjee said...

That you're actually approaching 800 posts. 8 friggin' HUNDRED. The mind has been blown. Again.

Chicky a.k.a. Kaddu said...

Urm, OB... don't you need to HAVE a mind first... for it to be blown?
Just asking... :P
