Lunch With Dad: Photo A Day - Lunchtime

Day 21 of "June Photo A Day Challenge" : Lunchtime

Lunch with Dad earlier this month...

This was taken at a simple family restaurant not too far from my place. The decor is very average, but the food is good and reasonably priced. And the service is beyond good!

The guy taking our order advised us, on his own initiative, that we should order only half plates of the dishes we wanted, as there were just the two of us. The half plate option was not mentioned on their menu card, and if he hadn't suggested it, we would have just assumed we had no choice, and paid extra money for food we could've never finished in one meal!

P.S. - This is one of the best low-light photos I've got from my cellphone camera so far. They usually turn out so grainy in inadequate lighting.

This is my 21st post for 2013 June Photo A Day Challenge.

Cellphone camera? It has come out really well! And it sure is food I like! Simple wholesome fare.

So nice to hear about a business, and people, who value goodwill :-)

Yes Shail, even I was quite surprised when I saw the pic on my computer. And it definitely was good tummy-filling food.

Another yummy picture - looks like this place was a hit.

Suzy, I've never seen it empty in all my visits so far, but never had to wait for a table either. No fancy frills, not even a tablecloth, but the food is good, plates and glasses are clean, and the air conditioning works.

Kam hi milenge. Aur hote bhi hain to usually band ho jaate hain. Most restaurants in Delhi are run by property dealers who don't know jack about either food or customer service. The rest are run by people who know their food but have zero business skills. So the jantaa ends up going to McDonald's to eat processed cardboard.

LOL! OB, you have a hilarious style of penning your observations! "Processed cardboard." Height! :D :D :D

Lovely platter of food. My fav too. :) Nice Click. With the right amount of light, cellphones can give some amazing pics. :)
