Desertion, Loneliness... Desolation?: Photo A Day - After Dark

Day 4 of "June Photo A Day Challenge" : After Dark

I suppose, yesterday's picture of that glass painting lamp qualifies for today's prompt too, as it was taken in complete darkness.

Two of my posts, published in last month's photo challenge, would have also been strong contenders for today's prompt...

Then there was this entire series on after-dark pictures, that I posted in the April Spring Cleaning challenge here... in the post Night-time photography.

Unfortunately, all those pictures have already been posted before. So sharing a new one today...

It is a sad irony of life that whenever we go through a dark patch in our life, we find ourselves deserted and lonely, no matter how wonderful we may be...

Just like this swimming pool... looking so beautiful, with all that shimmery blue water... yet, so deserted... so lonely...

So desolate ???

Naaah... definitely not desolate! For after every spell of darkness, there lies the hope of a fresh dawn... with the promise of new light and new joy!

This is my fourth post for 2013 June Photo A Day Challenge.

A hope of fresh dawn. So true! :) Night Photography is quite tricky isn't it?

This is a beautiful picture Chicky more so because of the written words accompanying it. I am in such a phase of lufe right now that I can so relate to it. Most of the time we add pictures to support our words but here words are doing it for the picture. Wonderful.

Can't check the other pictures right now but will surely do as soon as I get some time.

It is, Jyothi! But I really like it so much... all those lights looks so pretty, don't they?

@Jyothi - This pic was taken by my cell phone camera. I wish I had my digicam with me that day... I could have got really class pics! You remember that Diwali lighting pic I posted last month? That was from my digicam. It's night-mode is too good!

Thank you, Preetilata! I've just come out of that phase myself, so I guess that's what inspired those words. Hope you get to see your dawn soon too! Hugs!

Meena - Surely not you too! Really? :)
Well if that really is the case, then just hold on tight... it's just around the corner! :P

Is it a pool of aloo-jhol?

OB - You need to make an appointment with an optician.

No, like, I'm just sincerely trying to see what is lonely and deserted about this pool. To me it just looks like a rare place not filled with fat dumb families and their screaming brats. I'm sure the pool feels the same way.

Chicky a.k.a. Kaddu said...

Haa! You are prejudiced against fat! I see...

Abhiroop Banerjee said...

Hello! I said fat families. Large, loud herds of carbon based lifeforms with a common goal - to make an almighty nuisance of themselves. That way. I love fat people. I am one.
