Day 3 of "May Photo A Day Challenge" : This is Really Good!
What do you do when you have a 7.5-hour long power cut in the scorching May heat of Jaipur, and no power backup? You obviously look for something cold and sweet, to eat or drink. This is what I had today... and it WAS really good!
The Amul Flaavyo frozen yoghurt seems a bit pricey at Rs. 25, for just flavored yoghurt, but it tastes awesome. At least the mango flavor. (That's the only one I've tried yet. I don't even know what other flavors are there, if any at all.)
I first had this a few months ago, during a bout of stomach infection. (You know how they say that yoghurt is good for the tummy in loose motions?) It tasted like mango flavored ice-cream, but had all the benefits of yoghurt apparently, 'coz I was able to hold down solid food that day, after having 1 cup of this frozen mango yoghurt.
Anyway, this is the third consecutive photograph related to food. You might get the impression that I'm going to do this entire round of photo-a-day challenge with food photographs, but rest assured... that is definitely not my plan! :D
Oh and this is NOT a sponsored review. I used this product out of personal choice, and decided to write about it today because it seemed perfect for today's topic.
This is my third post for 2013 May Photo A Day Challenge.

I have tried Nestle Real Strawberry Yoghurt. It was good... It also has mango flavour. Havent tried Amul Flaavyo. I may taste these flavoured yoghurts but I love my plain white yoghurt only!

when ever heat bites me I have a spooon and its yummm
Great one, there!! I love yogurt and of course nothing beat mishti doi...wutsay?
Hahaha! Seems like all of you ladies above are yoghurt fans! :D
@Shilpa - I like the white homemade dahi mixed with daal! I also love boondi ka raita. I don't usually have it completely plain.
@ Afshan - Both you and Shilpa have mentioned strawberry yoghurt. Now I must try that! :p
But I agree... flavored dahi is good in summers!
@ Rainbow Hues - Oyeeeee... I love "mishti doi"! You a Bengali? :D :D :D
I love frozen yogurt!! and this looks so tempting!
This looks like it will really cool you on a hot summer day! :)
A couple of months back, I tasted frozen, flavored yoghurt and really liked them. Hogged on them.
I avoided a food pic for this v reason :-D
I mean it looks like my entire contest will be filled with food pics :-D
Haven't tasted this one. Did have Nestle's flavors.
I do like Cocoberry's blueberry flavored yoghurt! You must try, if you haven't already.
Hey, I tried the Mango Yogurt last year and I remember liking it very much. I still love plain old dahi though. I need it, either as a side dish or at the end, with every non-fish meal. With fish meals, it's gotta be either mishti doi or no doi/dahi at all :-)
There is also another yogurt based cold dessert I've taken a liking to after a marathi pal introduced me to it a few years ago. Shrikhand. Frozen, sold in big 400 ML 'helpings', I find it gorgeously satisfying.
It really looks tempting!!!
@Pixie - This is the first frozen yoghurt I've tried, and I loved it! :D
@Shail - Oh yesss!
@Janu - Hahaha! I can understand... it should be quite easy to hog on them! :P
@Meena - And today's post is also going to be food-related for most of us!
@Naina - Blueberry... that's one flavor I've never tried... not even in ice cream! Will give it a go sometime!
@ OB - Isn't Shrikhand a gujju dish? :-/
Btw, u bengalis are all crazy about mishti doi, aren't u? :D
@ Smita - Yeah, especially if you love mangoes! :D
Yes we are, most of us! Do you like mishti doi?
Shrikhand is a Maharashtrian dish as far as I know. It may have a gujju variety but I have only ever had the Marashtrian shrikhand.
Of course I like mishti doi. And about Shrikhand, I will have to check.
Well??
Well what?
You said you will have to check about the origins of Shrikhand. Have you?
Nope
Fine, mat kariye. Meri bhi baari aayegi. Main bhi nehi pata karunga. Jab kuchh pata karna hoga.
